ZOO LUBIN

The Lubin Zoological Garden, established in 2014 on the site of a revitalized 19th-century city park, covers over 14 hectares. Its central part is a natural remnant of a riparian forest, fostering exceptional biodiversity. Admission is free, and the zoo is open year-round. Five thematic trails make exploring easy. The educational-tourist path "Fauna of Poland" (opened in 2023) leads to a bison enclosure and showcases 30 native species. The Bird Trail features aviaries for over 60 bird species from Poland and around the world, including the country's largest collection of pheasants. The Farm Animals Trail houses 10 native breeds, such as the Sandomierz goat and Olkuska sheep. The Extinct Animals Trail delights with dozens of life-size dinosaur figures, plus a paleontological dig and sensory path. The Monument Trees Trail passes by 15 monumental trees, including a magnificent sycamore maple. There is also a large playground with a fountain. Feeding animals, bringing pets, and cycling are prohibited.
