📍 Oleśnica, PL

The Ducal Castle in Oleśnica is the most valuable monument of the town and one of the most important in Lower Silesia. Built in the 14th century, it was home to the Silesian Piasts, the Dukes of Ziębice from the Poděbrady family, and later the von Württemberg and von Hohenzollern families. Today visitors can explore it with an audio guide (also available in English) or a guided tour for groups. Highlights include state rooms, the courtyard, and a tower with a panoramic view of the town. The castle hosts temporary exhibitions, and after sightseeing you can relax at the 'Pod Papugami' café. It is open Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 to 18:00. The castle is located at Zamkowa 4 in Oleśnica, just a few minutes' walk from the market square.
