Zamek Krzyżtopór
Zamek Krzyżtopór in Ujazd (Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship) is a 17th-century stronghold whose picturesque ruins remain a magnificent sight. The site offers five touring routes – from easy walks along the bastions to more challenging paths for the adventurous. Each route reveals different parts of the castle, including former chambers, the courtyard, and bastions with names like "Smok" (Dragon) and "Korona" (Crown). Legend has it that the castle had 365 windows, 52 chambers, and 12 halls, symbolizing the natural cycle. It's a great place for families with children – little ones can be carried in a baby carrier, and toilets are available. Tickets are affordable, especially off-season. Visiting takes about 1–3 hours. There is a small parking lot with about 30 spaces. Krzyżtopór is a must-see for history buffs and lovers of mysterious architecture.
