Topography of Terror
The Topography of Terror is a documentation center and memorial in Berlin dedicated to the crimes of National Socialism. It is located at Niederkirchnerstraße 8, in the Kreuzberg district, on the site where the headquarters of the Gestapo and SS stood from 1933 to 1945. The permanent outdoor exhibition and the indoor display present the history of persecution and terror during the Third Reich. Visitors can see the remains of the cellars of the former buildings as well as numerous photographs and documents. The educational offer includes guided tours, audio guides, and materials in easy-to-understand and Polish language. Admission is free, and the site is open daily from 10:00 to 20:00. Facilities include restrooms, a cloakroom, a café, and a bookstore. The venue is fully accessible for people with disabilities and is family-friendly. It is an important place for anyone interested in 20th-century history and reflecting on the past.
