Underground Tourist Route – Bystrzyca Kłodzka
The Underground Tourist Route in Bystrzyca Kłodzka is a unique attraction that leads through dark corridors beneath the historic market square. The route includes chambers of the former brewery and rooms of the prison that was demolished in the 1960s. Visitors can learn about the history of these places, dating back to the Middle Ages, when the town was famous for brewing beer. The undergrounds retain original vaults and corridors that were discovered in the late 1990s after sinkholes appeared. The route was opened to the public in 2002, and further adaptation works were carried out between 2019 and 2023. It is a fascinating history lesson for the whole family, as well as for lovers of mysteries and underground passages. The site is located in the city center at 4 Kupiecka Street and is easily accessible on foot. It is worth allowing about 1-3 hours for a leisurely guided tour.
