Bystrzyckie Mountains

The Bystrzyckie Mountains are a border mountain range in the Central Sudetes, located in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship, near Bystrzyca Kłodzka. The highest peak is Sasanka (985 m above sea level), although Jagodna (977 m) is often mistakenly considered the highest, as it features a viewing tower. The region is known for its picturesque hiking trails that wind through forests and clearings, offering beautiful panoramas. One of the main attractions is the Torfowisko pod Zieleńcem nature reserve – a unique area with tundra-like character, accessible via a green trail with boardwalks and a viewing tower. It is also worth visiting the Jagodna Mountain Hostel at Przełęcz Spalona, famous for its delicious cuisine and cozy atmosphere. After hiking, you can explore the old town of Bystrzyca Kłodzka, from which the mountains take their name. This is an excellent destination for families, groups, and nature lovers, with easy access and free parking. Nearby, there are cafes and restaurants, and you can enhance your visit with guided tours.
