Zdrojowa Pijalnia

The Zdrojowa Pijalnia in Polanica-Zdrój is a historic building erected in 1910-1911 as the Helena Baths. It is located at 39 Zdrojowa Street, on a slope above the river, which gives it a distinctive layout – it is single-storey from the park side and three-storey from the opposite side. The structure was designed by architects Felix Wilde and Paul Rother, and its representative western facade features a neoclassical portico with Art Nouveau elements. Inside, there is a mineral water pump room leading to a hundred-meter-long promenade hall, which now houses a café and shops. In the past, the building also contained guest rooms, medical offices, and bathing cabins. Today, some rooms are used as offices, while the southern wing retains a conference hall. The pump room is open all year round, and admission is free. It is a popular spot for spa guests and tourists, who can sample local mineral waters, relax in the café, and admire the historic architecture.
