Archaeological and Historical Museum in Głogów

The Archaeological and Historical Museum in Głogów is housed in a historic castle at 1 Brama Brzostowska Street. The institution presents the history of the town and region, combining archaeological and historical exhibitions. Visitors can learn about the medieval past of Głogów, including the defence of the stronghold in 1109, and see collections of coins and old crafts. The museum offers temporary exhibitions, educational workshops and guided tours. It is an interesting destination for adults as well as families with children and school groups. At weekends, visiting is possible only at set times, while the exhibition halls are closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. During renovation, the entrance is located on Zamkowa Street.
