Helikon
Helikon is a picturesque hill in Jelenia Góra, located in the Jelenia Góra Valley at the foot of the Karkonosze Mountains. This place combines the beauty of nature with a rich history and legends, referring to the mythical Greek Mount Helicon, the seat of the Muses. While walking around Helikon, you can admire the panorama of the area, including the Bóbr River and surrounding villages. In the 18th century, thanks to the initiative of local residents, a picturesque landscape park was created here, with gazebos, benches, and plaques with inscriptions dedicated to the Muses. Helikon is an ideal spot for a family walk, a romantic outing for two, or a meeting with friends. Nearby amenities include toilets, and public transport is accessible. A hike around the hill takes 1 to 3 hours, offering various trails of different difficulty levels. It is a great opportunity to combine contact with nature and discovering local stories and legends.
