Mała Łąka Valley and Kościeliska Valley are two picturesque Tatra trails in Kościelisko, perfect for a family trip. On the first day, start from a paid parking lot at the entrance of Mała Łąka Valley. Follow the yellow or blue trail for about an hour to reach Wielka Polana Małołącka, offering stunning views of the Tatras. From there, take the black trail (Ścieżka nad Reglami) for 30 minutes to Przysłop Miętusi (1189 m above sea level), with panoramic views of Czerwone Wierchy, Giewont, and other peaks. Return via the blue trail in about an hour. On the second day, visit Kościeliska Valley, starting from the parking in Kiry. Follow the green trail along Kościeliski Stream for 45 minutes to the junction for Mroźna Cave. A steep black trail leads in 30 minutes to the cave entrance (ticket 4 PLN, children under 6 free). The cave is 480 m long, visited independently one-way, with low temperatures and narrow passages (about 40 minutes). After exiting via wooden stairs, return to the green trail and reach Ornak shelter in an hour. The walk back to the parking takes about 2 hours. The routes are suitable for families with children aged 6+, seniors, and all hiking enthusiasts. Facilities include toilets, cafes, and TPN ticket offices at the entrances. Bring food and drinks as there is no shelter in Mała Łąka Valley.
