Trzydniowiański Wierch

Trzydniowiański Wierch is a scenic peak rising to 1758 metres in the Western Tatras, near Kościelisko. It lies on a side ridge running north from Kończysty Wierch. The summit is built of metamorphic rocks and covered with alpine meadows that turn intense red in autumn. A red trail leads from Polana Trzydniówka in the Chochołowska Valley, which can be reached from the car park at Siwa Polana (about 1.5 hours) or from the shelter at Polana Chochołowska (40 minutes). The path climbs steeply through the Krowieniec ravine, crosses dwarf pine thickets and emerges onto an open, panoramic ridge. From the top there is a vast panorama of the Western Tatras – you can see Bobrowiec, Wołowiec, Rohacze, Jarząbczy Wierch, Starorobociański Wierch, Bystra, Ornak, Czerwone Wierchy and Kominiarski Wierch. On clear days Rysy, Krywań and even Babia Góra are visible. The broad, grassy summit area is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the mountain scenery. For more experienced hikers, a natural extension is the green trail to Kończysty Wierch. The round trip is about 17 kilometres and takes 5–7 hours. The route lies within the Tatra National Park – an entry ticket is required (10 PLN normal, 5 PLN reduced). Paid parking is available at Siwa Polana (about 15 PLN per day). The peak is accessible all year round, though winter conditions demand experience. It is a great destination for those who want to discover the Western Tatras without tackling the most demanding summits.
