Krasiczyn Castle

Krasiczyn Castle is a 16th-century Renaissance and Mannerist residence located in Krasiczyn, Podkarpacie, about 10 km from Przemyśl. Built at the turn of the 16th and 17th centuries, it owes its current appearance to Marcin Krasicki, who transformed it into a palazzo in fortezza with bastion fortifications. Its distinctive feature is four towers: Divine, Papal, Royal, and Noble-Knightly, symbolizing the pillars of society. The facades are adorned with sgraffito depicting a gallery of Polish kings and Roman emperors, which once covered 7,000 m² of walls. After war damage, the castle was rebuilt and now serves as a hotel and event venue. Tours include the crypts, a hunting salon, the chapel, and reconstructed rooms. The surrounding park features trees planted by the Sapieha family to commemorate the births of their descendants. The site is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
