Krasiczyn Castle is a Renaissance and Mannerist magnate residence located in the village of Krasiczyn in the Podkarpackie region, a few kilometers from Przemyśl. The building was erected on a rectangular plan with four corner towers, surrounded by a moat and a picturesque park with old trees. The castle's history dates back to the 16th century, when Stanisław Krasicki began the reconstruction of an existing stronghold, and his son Marcin gave it its current, representative character. Over the centuries, the residence changed hands many times, belonging among others to the Tarło, Potocki, and Sapieha families, and experiencing wartime destruction and a fire. Today, after thorough renovation, the castle is open to visitors with guided tours. The interiors are devoid of furnishings but retain their historical character. A walk in the surrounding garden is an additional attraction – here you can admire oaks and lindens planted by the Sapiehas. The site appeals to architecture and history enthusiasts, as well as families with children. On the premises there are a café, a restaurant, a gift shop, and parking. A visit typically lasts 1 to 3 hours. The castle is open seasonally, daily from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM, and outside the season prior booking is required.
