Łącka Dune

Łącka Dune is one of the biggest attractions of the Słowiński National Park, located between Lake Łebsko and the Baltic Sea, about 8-9 km from Łeba. This moving dune, rising about 42 meters above sea level, resembles a vast desert and covers an area of up to 500 hectares. Its name comes from the village of Łączka, which was buried by sand about 300 years ago. The dune shifts under the influence of westerly winds, moving over a meter each year, creating a dynamic, desert-like landscape. You can enter the dune from the forest side or from the beach, and the distance between these entrances is about one kilometer. From the top, there is a magnificent view of the surroundings, including Lake Łebsko and the Baltic Sea. It is an ideal place for a walk, taking photos, and playing in the sand, especially for families with children. During the season (from May 1 to September 30), entry is ticketed, and tickets can be purchased online or at the ticket offices in Rąbka. There are hiking and cycling trails leading to the dune, as well as electric carts from the parking lot in Rąbka.
