Orlica Observation Tower

The Orlica Observation Tower is a wooden structure with a stone base, located on the Polish side of the Orlica peak, about 50 meters from the summit, right at the border with the Czech Republic. It stands on the site of a former shelter and wooden tower built by Heinrich Rübartsch in the 19th century. The lower stone part, finished with local slate, provides shelter from wind, rain, and snow, and features benches, tables, and bike parking. The summit is accessible via a green trail from the Polish side and a red trail from the Czech side, as well as by bike from both countries. From three viewing levels, including the main platform at 17.7 meters, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Orlické, Bystrzyckie, Stołowe, Sowie, and Bardzkie Mountains, the Śnieżnik Massif, and, in good weather, the Karkonosze range with Śnieżka. The tower is suitable for everyone, regardless of hiking experience. A loop of single trails starts nearby, leading downhill to the center of Duszniki-Zdrój, and in winter, cross-country ski routes connect from Kamień Rübartscha toward Masarykova Chata. It is an excellent viewpoint for families, groups, and all mountain landscape enthusiasts.
