Świdnica, located in Lower Silesia, is a city with a rich history, known as the pearl of Silesian Baroque. The former capital of the Duchy of Świdnica-Jawor is famous for its brewing tradition, gingerbread, and antique fair. The main attraction is the UNESCO-listed Church of Peace – the largest wooden Baroque church in Europe, built in the 17th century without durable materials. The Cathedral of St. Stanislaus and St. Wenceslaus is also impressive. From the Town Hall Tower, rebuilt after its collapse in 1967, you can enjoy panoramic views of the city. Central Park, renovated in 2018, offers 9 hectares of green space, ponds, and illuminated paths. The Museum of Old Trade displays interiors of a pharmacy, tavern, and colonial shop from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Świdnica is a destination for families, couples, and seniors, with a rich cultural and historical offer. Entry to many attractions is free.
