Górski Ośrodek Pod Durbaszką and Wysoki Wierch
The Górski Ośrodek Pod Durbaszką is a charming mountain center located in Jaworki, at the foot of the Little Pieniny range, offering a great mountain atmosphere and tasty food. From the center, you can take a short, about 45-minute walk to the nearby Wysoki Wierch hill, which offers beautiful views. The trail leads mostly through clearings, with forest covering only a small part, making it pleasant and not too tiring. Along the way, you pass a shepherd's hut where, in summer, you can buy traditional cheeses like żentyca or bryndza. The center itself is a former model shepherd's hut from 1949–52, now serving as a base for accommodation and dining. In the buffet, be sure to try the tomato soup and bigos, but remember that only cash is accepted, and due to its educational character, no alcohol is served. Parking at the entrance to Jaworki costs 20 PLN per day or 4 PLN per hour. It's an ideal spot for a family trip, and dogs are welcome on the trail. The full loop back via Wysoka takes about 3 hours.
