Wysoki Wierch
Wysoki Wierch is a peak reaching 898 m above sea level, located in the ridge of the Little Pieniny Mountains, near the village of Jaworki in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. It is an excellent viewpoint offering panoramas of the Pieniny Proper with the Three Crowns, the Gorce Mountains, the Spiš Magura, and the Tatra Mountains. The summit can be reached via several trails: the shortest starts from the Slovak Przełęcz pod Tokarnią (less than an hour), while others begin in Jaworki or Szlachtowa. The route from Jaworki along the gravel road to the Durbaszka shelter takes about an hour, and the variant through the Homole Gorge and Wysoka lasts around 3 hours. The trails are relatively easy and scenic, leading mostly through open terrain where you can encounter grazing sheep. Wysoki Wierch is accessible year-round, and entry is free. It is a great spot for family trips, walks with dogs, and admiring sunrises and sunsets. Parking is available nearby, and a small buffet operates seasonally at the pass.
