Museum of Industry History in Opatówek
The Museum of Industry History in Opatówek is housed in a historic, classicist textile factory from 1824, which is a valuable monument of technology. The building retains its internal wooden structure across five storeys and cast-iron stairs. High-quality cloth was produced here from 1826 until the Great Depression of the 20th century. Inside the former factory interiors, eight permanent exhibitions and one temporary exhibition are presented. Visitors can admire collections of historic machines, including steam drives, weaving looms and printing presses, as well as industrial products such as embroidery, lace, silk fabrics, ceramics, and pianos and grand pianos. A separate group consists of historic fabrics from the 15th to the 19th century, including chasubles and liturgical vestments. The museum offers guided tours and has a gift shop on site. Admission is free. Note: on 20 September 2025 the museum will be closed due to the Kościelna Street Festival, but as part of this event it invites visitors to open doors from 1:00 PM to 4:30 PM.
