Grodzisko w Sopocie is the oldest monument in Sopot and a branch of the Archaeological Museum in Gdańsk. It is located at 63 Haffnera Street, surrounded by greenery and streams. This open-air archaeological museum features reconstructed early medieval stronghold buildings: huts, a gate, and part of a palisade, placed exactly where their relics were discovered. The site promotes experimental archaeology and the history of the Pomeranians. Every year, archaeological and historical festivals are held here, featuring combat shows, archery, medieval dances, and early music concerts. Live history lessons for schools and workshops in ancient crafts are also organized. Next to the open-air museum, there is a modern exhibition and education pavilion with the permanent exhibition "The Oldest History of Sopot" and workshops for children and youth, adapted for people with disabilities. The place is accessible to everyone, including families with children and organized groups. Facilities include toilets, a café, and a gift shop. Visitors can explore with a guide or on their own, and public transport stops nearby.
