📍 Wleń, PL

The observation tower at Wleń Castle is one of the most valuable landmarks in Lower Silesia. The castle, built in the second half of the 12th century, is the oldest brick castle in Silesia. The current round tower was erected in later centuries, replacing an earlier hexagonal structure. From the top, visitors can enjoy panoramic views of the Karkonosze Mountains, the Izerskie Foothills, and the Kaczawskie Foothills. It is open daily: from May to October from 10:00 to 18:00, and from November to April from 10:00 to 16:00. The castle is accessible via a local road from Wleń and is also on the Piast Castles Trail and St. Hedwig's Path. This is a perfect spot for history lovers and those seeking stunning scenery. Nearby attractions include the Bóbr Valley Landscape Park, Góra Zamkowa Nature Reserve, and Lenno Palace. The observation tower is an ideal destination for families, couples, and organized groups.
