Wielka Sowa
Wielka Sowa is the highest peak of the Sowie Mountains (1015 m above sea level) and one of the points of the Crown of Polish Mountains, located in the village of Rzeczka in Lower Silesia. There are several trails to the summit; the most popular is the red trail from Sokola Pass. The ascent is moderately difficult and suitable even for families with children. The route passes by the Orzeł and Sowa mountain shelters. At the top stands a historic stone observation tower built in 1906, offering panoramic views of the Sowie Mountains and surroundings. Entry to the tower is paid, cash only, and opening hours should be checked on social media. Parking is available in Rzeczka – a free parking lot (marked no. 41) and paid parking nearby. Due to its popularity, the summit can be crowded, especially in season. It is a great spot for mountain views and hiking history enthusiasts.
