Turbacz
Turbacz (1310 m above sea level) is the highest peak of the Gorce Mountains, included in the Crown of Polish Mountains. It is located near Nowy Targ in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship. Although the summit itself is forested and offers limited views, just 500 meters away, at the PTTK Shelter on Turbacz, there is a stunning panorama of the Tatra Mountains, Podhale, Lake Czorsztyn, and the Pieniny range. Numerous trails of varying difficulty lead to the summit – from the short and popular green trail from Nowy Targ (about 2.5 hours) to longer routes from Rabka-Zdrój, Lubomierz-Rzeka, or Klikuszowa. The area features glades where crocuses bloom in spring. In summer, refreshment stalls operate along the green trail. Access to Turbacz is free, and paid parking is available nearby. It is an excellent destination for families, groups, and anyone seeking mountain hikes with beautiful views.
