📍 Urszulin, PL🕒 4+ hours€ Budget

Polesie National Park is a unique protected area located in Urszulin, about 60 km from Lublin. Established in 1990, it aims to preserve the region's distinctive wetlands, peat bogs, and marshes, which are home to many rare plant and animal species. The park is famous for its autumn gatherings of cranes and the presence of the European pond turtle – the only naturally occurring turtle species in Poland. Visitors can explore five educational hiking trails, including the popular 'Splavy' and 'Oak Dominik' routes, as well as a 21-km cycling path 'Mietiulka'. There are also observation towers, free parking, and the European Pond Turtle Protection Centre at the headquarters in Urszulin. The park is wheelchair accessible and stroller-friendly, and tickets can be paid with cash or card. It’s an ideal destination for a day trip to experience wild nature.
