Krakow Fortress

Krakow Fortress is a 19th-century fortification system built by the Austrians around Krakow. It consists of three rings of fortifications, including forts, bastions, and redoubts, designed to protect the city from attack. Today, many of the structures are open to visitors, and some have been repurposed, such as Fort Skała, which houses the Astronomical Observatory of the Jagiellonian University.
